1998: Nepal Kanyam
On the southern slopes of the majestic Himalayas, virtually “just over the hill” from the famous Darjeeling, enterprising Nepalese planters have managed even without British colonial experience to bring a full-value high-mountain black tea into the light of the tea world. The brown-green uniformly rolled leaves with a high content of silver tips are full of aroma, and have an unobtrusively astringent taste.
